Hopefully you’ve seen the new planters in the outdoor seating area next to the Canteen. We’ve planted them with a variety of herbs and flowers, and even some swiss chard! This one is full of lemon verbena — a beautiful, bright, a lemony herb that just tastes like summer. Our pastry chef Stephanie is using it in the streusel for our market peach muffin, and the folks at Seersucker are using some for their strawberry and lemon verbena soda. Doesn’t get more local than that!
